By creating an account or using Volly ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these terms on your behalf. By allowing a minor to use Volly, a parent or guardian accepts these terms and takes responsibility for that minor's activity on the platform.
Volly is a web application that helps students capture extracurricular activities, translate them into professional resume content, and build college and career application materials. Volly is operated by Volly, LLC, a California limited liability company.
Volly is intended for students generally between the ages of 13 and 22. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts.
If you are creating an account on behalf of a student under 13, please contact us at info@getvolly.com before proceeding.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at info@getvolly.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may not share your account, transfer it to another person, or create accounts using false or misleading information.
You agree to use Volly only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines.
Volly offers a free tier and a paid subscription ("Volly Plus"). Subscriptions are billed in advance and automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law.
We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. If we change the price of your plan, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance.

Content you submit — including activity descriptions, personal information, and notes — remains yours. By submitting content to Volly, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and process it solely to provide and improve the Service.
The Volly name, logo, and related marks are proprietary to Volly, LLC. All rights reserved. Trademark registration is pending. You may not use the Volly name, logo, or any confusingly similar marks in connection with any product, service, or communication without our prior written consent.
Volly uses artificial intelligence to help generate resume bullets, skill tags, and other content based on the information you provide. This content is provided as a starting point and is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or appropriate for every use case.
You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before using it in applications, resumes, or other materials. Volly is not liable for outcomes resulting from reliance on AI-generated output.
Volly integrates with or links to third-party services (such as LinkedIn, Common App, or others). These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party platforms.
Volly is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that results from using Volly — including college admissions outcomes, job offers, or scholarship awards — will meet your expectations.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Volly, LLC and its founders, employees, and agents shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of Volly shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal information — including your name, email address, and any other identifying details — will be removed from our active systems.
Please note that Volly may retain de-identified records derived from your use of the Service, including activity inputs, AI-generated outputs, and skill assessments, in an anonymized form that cannot be linked back to you. This archived data is used solely for internal research, product improvement, and aggregated reporting purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may also suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, or for any other reason with reasonable notice.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email. Continued use of Volly after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

To generate skill tags and career-relevant content, Volly's backend systems reference industry-standard occupational and skills frameworks maintained by government and workforce organizations. These publicly available frameworks allow us to map student activities to recognized professional skill categories.
This classification process is automated and occurs internally. Skill tags and labels presented within Volly are generated by our AI systems using this methodology and are intended as a starting point — not a definitive assessment of your qualifications.
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. When you do, your personal information — including your name, email address, and any other identifying details — will be removed from our active systems.
Volly retains de-identified, anonymized records derived from activity inputs, AI-generated outputs, and skill assessments in archived form. These records are stripped of all personally identifying information and cannot be linked back to you or your account. They are retained solely for internal research, product development, and aggregated reporting purposes, as described in Section 10.
If you have questions about what data we hold or wish to request deletion of specific records, contact us at info@getvolly.com.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and secure data storage. However, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Volly is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.
For users between 13 and 17, we encourage a parent or guardian to review this Privacy Policy and understand how Volly uses student data.

Volly may use anonymized, aggregated data — with all personally identifying information removed — to produce research reports on student skill development trends. This data may be shared with or sold to employers, educational institutions, and workforce organizations.
This research data contains no information that could identify you or any individual student. It reflects population-level patterns only, such as which skills are most commonly developed through certain activity types. Your personal information is never included in or derivable from these reports.
Volly may link to or integrate with third-party services such as LinkedIn or Common App. When you interact with those services, their own privacy policies apply. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party platforms you connect with through Volly.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you by email. Continued use of Volly after any changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
